Greg Thomas joined Wenta in August 2009. Greg's previous experience has been in the retail sector, working for companies such as Bass, Whitbread, Costa Coffee and culminating as a Retail Director for a chain of healthy food retailers in London. Since then and for the last six years, Greg has been working as a Business Advisor specifically for start-ups and small businesses, advising them in a number of areas such as branding, property, raising finance, building business plans, designing cash flow forecasts, and budgets. Greg's main focus over the last two years has evolved to encompass SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and online marketing; he has made regular contributions to the Daily telegraph, BT Upload business magazine and has even advised Coronation Street on their business story lines to ensure authenticity.
Greg's role at My Incubator – Stevenage and the btc is to ensure that all businesses (pre start up, start up or existing) get the access to the information they want, from helping them to access funding, to providing networking events. Greg also offers the opportunity for some businesses to communicate and work with local universities and colleges, to provide academic input into their projects. In addition to this Greg also works closely with EEDA in helping businesses with applications for research grants, as well as the innovation voucher scheme. Greg thoroughly enjoys working with a wide variety of talented entrepreneurs and supporting these individuals with business plan advice, product testing and general direction in helping them to achieve their goals. He also specialises in advising clients on how to optimise their websites using tools such as SEOEng, SEOMoz, IBP and Dreamweaver.
Greg has four gorgeous children, who range from four year old twins, a five year old and a six year old! Greg has a passion for music, tries to play the drums, supports Man United and is addicted to coffee.
